Convert scanned document into text document for free!

We, in this digital lifestyle, scan and print so many documents for the necessary paper work required in our office as well as home. We also sometimes receive these types of scanned documents for official purpose. However, sometimes we find ourselves in the position to edit these scanned documents. (These documents are normally in PDF format or some image formats like, JPG, GIF, TIFF, BMP, etc.) So, the cannot be edited as per our will as they used to be in the image formats.

But, nowadays, some software experts have found the solution by developing one Hi-Tech software named "OCR" means "Optical Character Recognition". With the help of these software, you can easily convert the text if the document in the editable text format. But these are rarely used softwares and they are too costly to buy it for home purpose.

So, to solve these problem, I've found a useful website as I was wandering round the Internet yesterday. The site is https://www.free-ocr.com, which converts the scanned documents into editable format online for free. So, the need of such a costly is removed for the normal users. However, the dark side is that it only converts the documents with the size up to 2MB. But, I think 2MB is more than enough for the normal user as text don't require much space.

Here is the screenshot.

On this website, you only have to upload the file that you want to convert and moreover, you need to provide your email id. So, as soon as the document is ready, they mail it to your email account. Isn't it cool!!

This site supports so many formats like PDF, GIF, JPG, TIFF and BMP. Moreover, on the site you can find the languages that it supports.

So, on the whole, the site is worth bookmarking if you ever want to use it!
